BAART Programs Brighton Now Accepting Colorado Medicaid

Health First Colorado now provides coverage for medication-assisted treatment at BAART Brighton.

BAART Programs Brighton, a BayMark Health Services Company, announced recently they now accept Health First Colorado for medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services helping those struggling with opioid addiction. As Colorado’s State Medicaid program, Health First provides health care coverage for residents who qualify. BAART is pleased to expand accessibility to life-saving MAT treatment and counseling to Coloradans utilizing the Health First plan.

Open since January of this year, BAART Brighton provides MAT with methadone and buprenorphine, medications that are proven to help patients recover from opioid addiction when combined with individual and group counseling. The Brighton treatment program also provides addiction education, relapse prevention, lab testing, coordinated care for pregnant patients and linkages to community resources to assist patients on their path to recovery.

“Our priority is to provide high quality, individualized treatment to anyone struggling with the misuse of opioids. Being a Health First Colorado Medicaid provider increases accessibility to more people in need of addiction treatment services, which is key in combating the growing opioid epidemic in Colorado” shared Brooke Lee, Treatment Center Director at BAART Brighton.

The opioid epidemic has impacted Colorado with 558 opioid-related deaths being reported in 2017. Adams County was ranked 7th across the state in opioid deaths from 2013-2015, and as of the same year, only 2,190 Coloradans were receiving medication-assisted treatment, which has been coined the gold standard of care for opioid addiction for almost 50 years. BAART Programs is committed to being a part of the growing resources in Colorado for those seeking help and ready to reclaim their life.

Located at 5 South 1st Avenue, Brighton, CO 80601, BAART Programs Brighton is open Monday – Friday 5:30am to 12:00pm and Saturday 6:00 to 9:00am.
