BAART PROGRAMS ACQUIRES ALTAMED BOYLE HEIGHTS OPIATE TREATMENT PROGRAM
Los Angeles, CA (January 31, 2016) – BAART Programs announced this week its acquisition of the AltaMed Opiate Treatment Program on Zonal Avenue in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. Now known as BAART Boyle Heights, the program provides opioid use disorder treatment to 200 patients, and provides primary medical care to about 1,400 Angelinos.
BAART Programs are known throughout California as a premier provider of and advocate for evidence-based medication assisted treatment and integrated primary medical care. Founded in 1977 in San Francisco, BAART has grown to 17 clinics in California, with additional locations across the country. The acquisition of this location is very exciting, and offers the opportunity to serve the growing need on the LAC/USC Medical Center Campus.
