Lewisville, Texas (September 29, 2017) – BAART Programs St. Albans, a BayMark Health Services company, announced this week the completion of construction at 242 S. Main Street in St. Albans. The newest hub location in Vermont, BAART St. Albans has been operating in temporary space at the Northwestern Medical Center since June of this year. BAART provides medication-assisted treatment, substance use counseling and support services for those struggling with opiate addiction.
“BAART Programs has been providing services in Vermont since 2005, and has been an integral part of the hub and spoke model since 2012”, noted David K. White, PhD, CEO of BayMark Health Services. “We are pleased to be operating in our new facility which offers the space and resources needed to increase accessibility to treatment in Northwest Vermont. We very much appreciate the help and cooperation of the staff at Northwestern Medical Center for letting us open our services early at their location while we were completing our newest location.”
Patients will receive the high quality care they have come to expect from BAART Programs across Vermont and enjoy the benefits that come with expanded facilities in a more convenient location. Medication-assisted treatment requires not only private areas for medication to be administered, but also a comfortable space for individual counseling, which is a critical part of any MAT program. The new BAART Programs facility has been constructed to offer a comfortable, convenient environment in which to receive treatment.
“As the opioid epidemic intensifies nationwide, BayMark is committed to increasing accessibility to treatment services for opioid use disorder, while maintaining quality, consistent care for our patients,” said Frank Baumann, COO of BayMark Health Services. “
