Machine-readable fileS

BayMark Health Services Employee Benefits Plan is considered a “group health plan” and is subject to the Transparency in Coverage (TiC) rules. The transparency rules require group health plans to publish on a public website the information using two separate machine-readable files (MRFs). Machine Readable Files (or MRFs) means a digital representation of data or information in a file that can be imported or read into a computer system for further processing.

Transparency in Coverage Disclosure
As required under TiC Final Rules, group health plans are required to post a link to our MRFs. The medical plan MRF discloses detailed information on the costs of covered services:

  • Detailed in-network provider-negotiated rates for covered items and services
  • Historical payments to and billed charges from out-of-network providers
  • In-network negotiated rates and historical net prices for covered prescription drugs (this final requirement is delayed until further notice)
